Any story can be compelling when written in the right voice. My 20-plus years experience in writing and editing have helped me find and develop the right voice – be it my own or yours – for web copy to white papers, manuscripts to manuals. I approach editing other’s work the same way I approach crafting my own: with an eye towards clear, dynamic prose that engages the reader while preserving the author’s intention.

Though I have written copy for financial institutions and covered raccoon dinners, the bulk of my experience is in educational and training materials, the arts, elder care and community-centered organizations. I ghost wrote a book and specialize in editing papers and publications by non-writer experts, including non-native English speakers. I have collected strengths from a career spanning journalism (BA), promotions and creative writing (MFA), all of which, I have found, can feed the others.

Curiosity and love of language drive my attention to detail and ever-primed creativity. My enthusiasm and good humor are supported by diligence and a strict adherence to deadlines.
